And, when I laid my head to rest,
I heard the fear,
It knocked again.
I stumbled in my human flesh,
I heard the fear,
It crept within.
I gave it all to Christ and then,
I heard the fear,
It sat to wait.
Until I wept and wept in bed,
I heard the fear,
It thought to bait.
And, then the prayers of others whelmed,
I heard the fear,
It snuck away.
And in the unseen darkness realms,
I heard the fear,
It dreads His face.
For God has not given to us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
